How To Line A Round Cake Pan With Detachable Base (Tutorial)

Preparation

Use a round cake pan with a detachable base.

Place parchment paper below the round cake pan. Use the cake pan as a template, trace out the base and cut out the parchment paper. Set aside.

Measure the circumference and cut a strip of parchment paper by adding 1.5 times its depth. You may need two strips if the length of the parchment paper is not longer enough.

Fold up about 1cm along its length and snip at 2cm intervals up to the fold.

Grease the cake pan (not shown on the photo) and fit the paper inside. The snipped edges will overlap on the base of the pan for a snug fit.

Place the round pan on the top of the snipped base.
