Strawberries Zabaglione

Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar
Fresh Strawberries, washed, dried and sliced

Preparation

Arrange the strawberries on a plate.

Add the egg yolks and sugar in the upper part of the bain-marie pot and keep them temporarily away from the fire. Beat with a whisk for about 5 minutes until the mixture is light yellow and frothy. Add the Marsala wine to it.

Bring some water in the bottom of the bain-marie pot almost to the boiling point. Put the top half with the mixture on top. Now you have to stir constantly with a whisk. Because of the heat, the mixture will first begin frothing and then gradually swell, until it is smooth. Your zabaglione is ready when the mixtures shows stiff peaks.

Remove from heat and ladle the sauce over your strawberries. Serve immediately.
