About

Yogurt Sauce is a classic accompaniment to most Middle Eastern and Indian food. It soothes the tongue, moderating hot chilis, and adds a tangy flavor to meats, curries, and other delicious dishes. I used it in my last post, a Pakistani Chicken Stew with Tomato and Eggplant, and it was delicious! If you try your food without yogurt sauce and then with it, you’ll almost taste two separate dishes. Yogurt sauce is also remarkably easy to put together – it’s quick enough that you can do it while waiting for a pan to warm up.
