Klaus Pichler's Photos of Rotting Foods Highlight Wasteful Consumption

April 15, 2012

Klaus Pichler's photos of rotting food, which are part of a series called "One Third," drive home the point that one-third of food produced goes to waste. Klaus photographs the food to look beautiful from a distance, but upon closer inspection, the viewer can see the food is moldy and rotten.

Klaus' exhibit isn't the only art exhibit to focus on food waste. Recently, Polish design firm Studio Rygalik created a baguette table that delivered a similar message.
