British Airways to Serve Olympic-Inspired Food

June 23, 2012

British Airways is getting in the Olympic spirit by serving food that is inspired by the upcoming Summer Games. The airline first began serving the special menu to First and Club World members in May and is now extending the optional meal to economy class from July until September.

Chef Simon Hulstone created the meal which consists of chicken breast with shiitake mushroom cream sauce, cheddar cheese and spring onion mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans. Hulstone's inspiration came from British Airways' 1948 menu, which is the last time the Olympics took place in London.
