If you're child is a picky eater, chicken is a good place to start.  Since it has a natural mild flavor, it's an easy way to introduce new ingredients and tastes.  You can start by serving something familiar that you know your child already like, such as chicken nuggets, and add a twist like a parmesan crust.  Not only will these meal be something your kids will enjoy but it will be food the rest of your family will want to eat too.

Pesto Yogurt Kebabs
Recipe from Garnish with Lemon

Not every kid-friendly chicken recipe needs to be breaded and fried.  These pesto yogurt kebabs are the perfect example of how something so tasty can also be simple.  This five ingredient recipe is perfect for any night of the week.  Cubed chicken breasts are marinated in Greek yogurt and pesto before hitting the grill.  Sweet cherry tomatoes are skewered in between to provide a contrast in flavor and texture.

Skinny Orange Chicken
Recipe from Simple Healthy Chicken

Homemade orange chicken is healthier, cheaper and more delicious than buying it from a restaurant.  While this version is served on top of white rice, you can easily swap it for brown or skip it all together and eat the orange chicken in lettuce cups instead.

Copycat Shake and Bake Chicken Breasts
Recipe from Kitchen Simplicity

Shake and bake was my mother's go to when she needed to prepare a quick and easy meal.  Little did she know that creating a savory crispy crust is super easy to make at home.  While breadcrumbs are the usual crumb of choice, this recipe opts for cornflakes because nothing else compares to its crunch.  The crushed crumbs are seasoned with a myriad of spices including garlic and onion powder, sage, paprika, beef bouillon cubes and more.

Mini Chicken Pot Pies
Recipe from Savory Style

Everyone loves chicken pot pie.  The combination of a creamy chicken sauce with a buttery crust is the epitome of comfort.  If pot pie is a hard sell to your kid, making them mini is never a bad idea.  Bite sized foods make children believe that the dish was especially made for them and therefore more willing to try it.  Moreover, this recipe uses so store bought convenience foods to make these chicken pot pies a snap to make.

Parmesan Baked Chicken Nuggets
Recipe from Gimme Some Oven

Move over McDonald's, there is a new favorite chicken nugget in town.  I am not sure why children are fascinated with the chicken nugget but these parmesan baked nuggets are at the top of my list.  Not only are they flavorful, but the parmesan panko crust gives these nuggets a dynamite crunch.  You can serve them with ketchup or whip up a creamy lemon dill sauce for something a little different.
