Jean Layton

In diverse jobs from chef to doctor, and now author. I've used my analytical skills to address an ongoing goal, "There has to be a better way."

Following the death of my first husband from cancer, I returned to school, remarried and graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine with a Naturopathic physician degree and twin 2 year olds.

My first book, coauthored with Linda Larsen, Gluten Free Baking for Dummies became available in November 2011.
Currently I maintain a private practice in Bellingham, Washington, sharing a building with my husband, Edward’s Community Acupuncture Clinic, HamsterPuncture. You know, acupuncture for Bellinghamsters.
Docere- to teach is a core belief of Naturopathic medicine, so I use my various skills to educate every chance I get, teaching baking classes, detox classes, and companies how to keep gluten free people safe when feeding them.

I provide educational materials from research to recipes on my blog www.GFDoctorRecipes.com
tweet at www.twitter.com/gfdoctor, share my vision on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/gfdoctor/
and manage two facebook pages for interesting tidbits as well.
