Yam and DB

I’m a Northern California native who is a casualty of the financial services industry. I’m now a stay-at-home dad who has been cooking during the time I have had caring for my toddler daughter. I bought a barbecue grill sometime ago because I was tired of doing the dishes after preparing so many of my wife’s Filipino dishes and because they were at minimum, an hour to prepare and cook.

I struggle with balancing quick and easy dishes that can be prepared on a weeknight after coming home dealing with the day’s stress and my desire to expand my growing arsenal of culinary skills. Hopefully I will be able to offer a bit of both in the recipes I write about.
