I've always thought that the only difference between chemistry and cooking is that when you cook the result is more enjoyable results than a white powder! I love to cook and am learning a lot as I go - my husband often gets to be my guinea pig for the recipes I find =-) Baking is probably my first love, but I like to cook as well.
