Although I have worked in professional kitchens I am by no means a professional cook. My interest in food
started in the least likely of places, working in a hospital kitchen. Most importantly this is also where I met
my wife. Working in the Putnam Hospital coffee shop as a short order cook I first experienced the joy of
cooking for others. I then worked for s short time in a seaside restaurant in Rhode Island working my way
from up from prep to the line. What started out as just a job has turned into a true passion.
Now days cooking is my hobby and I enjoy learning as much as possible about food. I don't know if hobby is the right word since it's something that has changed the way I think and view the world. Everything from grocery shopping to gardening.

Since 2000 I have moved 10 times including stops in Albany, Boston, New York City and finally settling in the Hudson Valley. I hope to be able to share my experiences from all of these locations, as well as home in the Hudson Valley.
