Question: What are Almond Toffee Bits?

New to cooking for myself. Trying to make Almond Coffee Cake. Requires Almond Toffee Bits. I can not fond them. Even on line it sends me somewhere else. Can anyone help. Thank you.

Just broken up chunks of almond toffee. You could take toffee (like Almond Roca) from the store, remove wrapper and place in a freezer bag then hit with a rolling pin or bottle on a cutting board to make bits.

Almond toffee is just a toffee candy made with almonds. Very similar to the center of a heath bar. It's a sugar and butter mixture that is cooked until thick and golden brown and cooled to make candy. In a pinch, you should be able to find heath bar pieces on the baking aisle of your grocery store- next to the chocolate chips. If you're up for making your own there are several recipes for toffee on Foodista- just leave off the chocolate.
