Growing up in southern New England gives you a certain perspective on food. Growing up as a kid in New Bedford, Marthas Vinyard, Cape cod and surrounding area, I was immersed in portugues culture and friends. From fresh baked bread on saturday's and family favorite soups like kale soup with spicy portuguese sausage. Just the smell of something like that evokes huge childhood memories.

Take some time this weekend to try out this recipe for portuguese Kale soup. You can find linguica and chouric in most super markets around new england with ease. If not Gaspars linguica company will gladdly ship it right to your door anywhere in the world!
