Vermicelli Upma

Ingredients

250 Semiya or vermicelli roasted gms
2 Onion nos
Ginger (chopped) small piece
Curry leaves few
1/4 cup Peas
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon Lime juice
To season
2 tablespoons Oil
1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
1 tablespoon Channa dhal

Preparation

Heat oil in a kadai(pan) and add mustard seeds.

When it crackles add channa dhal(kadalai paruppu) and fry till golden brown.

Add the cut onions,ginger,green chillies and curry leaves and fry.

Add the tomatoes,peas,salt and cook till tomatoes become soft.

Add two portions of water to vermicilli to these vegetables in the pan and allow it to boil.

Add the vermicilli slowly and cook it closed till it is done.
