Homemade Salsa

Ingredients

2 pounds tomatoes (2 to 3)
1 lrg yellow onion
cup white or apple cider vinegar (⅓ to ½)
Garlic (optional)
1 jalape-o peppers (about 1 1/2" long) (1 to 2)
teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar

Preparation

Remove tops from jalape-o peppers, cut down the center lengthwise, remove seeds (leave a few if you want salsa hotter).

Broil tomatoes, onions, and peppers until slightly browned.

Put broiled vegetables, cilantro, garlic, salt, sugar, and vinegar in food processor and process until everything is finely chopped. Chill.
