Cream Cheese Frosting

This great recipe is so simple to make only a few ingredients. Add some food coloring for color or add heavy cream to soften out the icing. Try adding other flavorings to spice up this versatile frosting. Great for carrot cakes, zucchini bread, cupcakes, and other spice breads. Stands up well to heat.

  • 8 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Leave the cream cheese and butter out to soften.

Beat the cream cheese and butter together, add the vanilla extract, then slowly beat in the confectioner's sugar until fully blended.
