Cole Slaw

Ingredients

1 lg. head cabbage, shredded
1 med. onion, chopped
3/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Combine all slaw ingredients in bowl and set aside.

Combine dressing ingredients in sauce pan and bring to boil for one minute. Pour boiling mixture over slaw mixture IMMEDIATELY. Toss and stir. Store in tightly closed container and refrigerate. Keeps 5 to 6 weeks and gets better with age. We also add celery seed to dressing.
