At the Boijmans Van Beuningen museum, in the Netherlands, a man walked through artist Wim T. Schippers Peanut Butter Platform exhibit. The exhibit, created in 1962, measures roughly 13 by 46 feet, and contains 370 gallons of peanut butter smeared onto the floor. The man is being asked to pay for the repairs to the display.
This is not the first incident of accidental damage to Peanut Butter Platform by museum visitors. Three other people have walked into the peanut butter covered area as well, but the museum refuses to erect any sort of fencing saying it would ruin the beauty of the artwork.
The artwork, of course, has it's own facebook page.
