Delectable Duffins

June 6, 2011

Duffins or monuts are a new baking hybrid, essentially a muffin that is flavored like a doughnut.  I like to use a mini muffin tin to make these because they resemble doughnut holes.  This quick bread can be eaten for breakfast, as a snack, or dessert.  If you want to get creative with these duffins, you can fill a pastry bag with chocolate ganache and fill them.  I have no doubt that these will become an instant favorite among your family and friends.

Duffins

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Oh my gosh... I've never heard of "duffins" before, but they sound like a dream come true! I'm going to have to give these a try!
