Is it possible to cook a beef roast in the car? Videographer Chris So of the Toronto Star attempted to find out on a recent day in which it was 96 degrees in the shade. He put the roast in his car at 10:45 a.m. and left it in the car for six hours.
Although the interior temperature peaked at 190 degrees Fahrenheit, the intermittent Toronto clouds prevented the center of the roast from getting to 145 degrees, the proper internal temperature for safe consumption. The ends of the roast, however, looked delicious -- check out the process in the video below.
