Just because they're running the free world doesn't mean politicians don't enjoy cooking on occasion. Hats off to The Awl for finding and publishing some recipes from the very entertaining sounding Political Pot Luck: A Collection of Recipes from Men Only (1959).
President (then Senator) Kennedy's recipe for waffles sounds pretty darn good. Browse through the rest of their article for more highlights, but check out this lowlight. It was a different time back then.
