A popular dish within the Malay communities in Malaysia, where glutinous rice soaked in coconut is wrapped in banana leaf, slowly cooked in bamboo that's roasted over charcoal in Malaysia. During the month of Ramadhan in Malaysia it becomes more popular.

Physical Description

Lemang cooked in bamboo, after several hours of being roasted, is carefully split open revealing the golden like rice encased within the banana leaf.

Food complements: Any kind of curries but goes well mostly with meat curries, Rendang, Or serunding (meat floss)
