Gulab jamun is a dessert which is popular throughout the Indian Subcontinent, made of a dough consisting mainly of milk solids in a sugar syrup flavored with cardamom seeds or saffron.
What u need
1.milk powder 1 cup
2.all purpose flour/maida- 1/4 cup
3.butter - 3 tsp
4.milk- 2-3 tsp(as reqd to mix the dough )
5.Vanilla Syrup/Vanilla essence
How to make...
1.Mix maida , milk powder and butter and mix it really well
2.Then add little milk and mix..(dough should be very soft)
3.leave it for 3- 4 mins
4.Then prepare small balls from it..
5.heat oil in a pan.. heat should be medium
6.Fry until brown color.
7.Boil 2 cups water and 3/4 cup sugar and 2 cardomon seeds,mix well
8.The syrup should be thick.
9.After that u can add some vanilla syrup/vanilla essence(1 drop) to sugar syrup after its cool,that gives an added flavour..
10.Dip the balls in the syrup for 1 hour ...
11.Serve with Vanilla ice cream.
