Pinata Cookies

Ingredients

cup Butter
cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
cup Flour
Small gumdrops or malt balls
Icing

Preparation

In a large mixer bowl, beat butter 30 seconds. Add sugar, beat till fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, beating till well mixed. Cover and chill 1 hour. Shape 1 level tablespoon of dough around a candy to form a ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes till edges are golden. Cool on wire rack. Drizzle with icing: 1/2 c sifted powdered sugar & 1/8 tsp vanilla & 1 1/2 tsp to 1 T milk.
