Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
5 cups flour

Preparation

In large bowl combine water and yeast. Add sugar and salt. Add flour until you have a stiff, pliable dough.

Place on floured surface and knead 5 to 8 minutes. Shape as you like (not too thick though).

Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with pretzel salt.

Bake at 425 degrees for 5 minutes or until golden.
