Parmesan Croutons

Store uneaten croutons in an air-tight container for a week.

Ingredients

4 inches slices french bread (½ thick)
1/4 cup butter
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

Cut bread into 3/4 inch cubes and set aside

In a large skillet, melt the butter; remove from heat. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Add the bread cubes and stir until cubes are coated.

Spread bread cubes in a single layer in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 300 degrees F for 10 minutes; stir. Bake 10 minutes more or until cubes are crisp and golden. Cool completely.
