Italian Potato Gnocchi

Ingredients

2 potatoes, peeled, boiled and drained
1 tablespoon butter
Pinch of salt

Preparation

Mash potatoes, butter and salt (only). Place 3 cups flour, more or less, on a bread board. Work mashed potatoes in flour on bread board until you have a nice smooth dough. If dough is too dry add one tablespoon of water and keep working it. Roll dough in one inch round rope and cut one inch long pieces. With one of your fingers roll it to make a small shell.
