As a nutritionist and ex-sugar junkie, I happen to agree with Dr. Lustig's point of view. By increasing healthy fat and protein I have been able to cut sugar out entirely. Complex carbohydrates such as quinoa, sweet potatoes, and beets are satisfying and meet the body's carb requirements.
