Candy Bar Blondies: Upcycle Leftover Halloween Chocolate

With all the trick or treat cuteness, it's no wonder that we end up with extra candy on the day after Halloween. It's hard to say no to just-one-more-house, until the candy bucket is full and there is no way for my little goblin to eat it all. 

No worries! I like to let the kids eat their fill of candy, then confiscate it the next day to use in other recipes. It's a great way to use up the extra, and it's also fun to think up recipes to use the bounty. Candy covered cookie bars are a great place to start. Find yourself a favorite cookie dough, spread it into a cake pan. After baking, spread that big cookie with your favorite chocolate ganache and press the leftover Halloween candies into the topping it cools and hardens.
