Since most cabbage roll already have rice in them, you wouldn't need another starch, I would do grilled veggies, like red or orange peppers, pattypan squash, zucchini, etc...

It was a warm day and we ended up using the leftover cabbage and made coleslaw - it went perfect :)

I am making cabbage rolls tomorrow for dinner. I have always made pierogies with it, which is another polish favorite.
