Crusader Carrot
About
'Crusader' is a full-flavored hybrid generally ready for harvest 65 days after sowing. Carrots grow 7 to 9 inches with dark flesh, blunt ends, smooth skin, and dark green tops. Especially high in beta-carotene. Loose, well-drained soil, free from clods and stones are a must for carrots. A hardy biennial grown as an annual, carrot tops are a rosette of fern-like foliage growing from a swollen tap root.
