Hi my name is Kia and I'm the creator of the Today I Ate A Rainbow products!

Let me tell you a little about Today I Ate A Rainbow !

The inspiration for my Today I Ate A Rainbow concept was my sweet little girl Hannah who you'll see all over our rainbow site...she is the original rainbow kid! Being a Mom is such a big honour and carries a lot of responsibility. Having grown up as a very picky eater I wanted to ensure that I did everything I possibly could to set Hannah up with healthy eating habits.

One day I came across the concept of the importance of eating a rainbow. It was just a paragraph of text though so I knew it wouldn't captivate Hannah's attention as she was only 4 at the time. So I put on my "creative-thinking-mom-hat" and came up with the idea of making an interactive chart. I knew that when it comes to getting kids on board for anything the number one element that helps to ensure success is FUN :) Kids are also very hands-on learners so I wanted to add that element too (hence the magnets) I also wanted the concept to be very easy to understand and follow. Another key element was a challenge/goal. As humans it doesn't matter what age we are we all love to be successful! So creating a goal of eating a minimum of 5 colours a day in order to achieve a Rainbow was important!

Our chart brings really brings to life the concept of “eating a rainbow” so that it's easy for kids and their parents to remember to eat a variety of colourful fruits and veggies everyday!

I am passionate about creating tools that help parents set healthy eating habits!
