At Homemade Levity, I share with you the delicious, healthy, vegan meals I make for myself and for my private chef clients. My recipes are simple, original, don’t take more than an hour from start to finish, and are filled with fresh, tasty ingredients that are organic and local as much as possible. I’ll show you that a vegan diet is no less satisfying than an omnivore diet, and no more difficult to prepare. Furthermore, you’ll find that many of the dishes are similar to the ones you already enjoy as an omnivore (without all the dietary cholesterol, that is).

Trained as a (non-vegan) chef, I love ingredients, as well as the care and consideration that goes into preparing complex, high-end restaurant-quality dishes. However, my restaurant kitchen career was very short-lived and undistinguished at best. And let’s face it, who wants to eat fussy, labor-intensive food every day? That’s why Homemade Levity exists – to help real people enjoy real food, while enjoying the incredible vitality, unique flavors, delicious simplicity and utter joy that vegan cuisine provides.

If you’re already a vegan, or at least like to cook the occasional vegan dish, I hope you find some new recipes to add to your feedbag of tricks. And I hope we can learn from eachother about new ways to live a healthy, happy lifestyle.

If you’re not a vegan, I guarantee you’ll still find some dishes here you LOVE and will want to add them to your own recipe stockade. (You like my dandelion greens salad? Have it with your steak! ) Consider this a site with interesting, savory ingredients and recipes you may not have had before, that will elevate and enhance your culinary horizons.
