Question: What would be a good "side dish"

Sister-in-Law is doing Beef Wellington this Christmas. What would be a good side dish? I have a few ideas but looking for some other good ideas?

Roasted potatoes, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes with mushroom, cranberry chutney, artichoke hearts, spinach or other greens with almonds or pecans, potato cakes, Butternut squash, filled breads, stuffed peppers.

You pretty much have meat and starch. I would serve garlic green beans, sauteed chard, maybe a medley of lightly sauteed baby vegetables or a root vegetable mash.

My suggestion would be to stay in a kind of retro mode....baby peas, a tiny potato gratin, a rice ring of wild and white rice filled with diced carrots and beets, braised leeks....

I would recommend that you serve ginger crushed pumpkin, brussel sprouts, baby carrots and a nice port glaze.
