Cinnamon Buns With Maple Glaze
Make the dough in your bread maker !! Flaky, buttery, and loaded with cinnamon and sugar! In honor of maple syrup season , these ones are topped with a maple glaze.

- 1 large egg at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cup warm water (80 F or 27 C)
- 3 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 cup white bread flour
- 2 teaspoon active dry yeast (for bread maker)
- 1/2 cup unsalted melted butter
- 2 tablespoon unsalted melted butter (for greasing and brushing)
- 1/4 cup fine white sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 cup sifted icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup extract
- 4 tablespoon heavy cream
Instructions
Step 1
Grease a baking dish with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
Step 2
In your bread maker, add all dough ingredients in the exact order as listed: egg, warm water, oil, granulated white sugar, salt, white bread flour, and active dry yeast.

Select the 'Dough' course and start the bread maker.
Step 4
Once the dough course is complete, liberally sprinkle flour on a work surface.
Step 5
Place the dough on the floured surface and roll it out to a 12-inch x 16-inch rectangle.

Brush the 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch edge on all sides.

Combine the fine white sugar, light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon together in a bowl, then sprinkle this mixture all over the buttered area of the dough.

Starting with the longest side, roll up the dough tightly to form a log.

Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1 1/2-inch slices.

Place the rolls in the greased baking dish.

Brush the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter over the rolls.

Cover with a clean tea towel and let rise in a warm area for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Remove the towel and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Allow the buns to rest in the baking dish at room temperature on a cooling rack for 5 minutes.

While buns are cooling, combine all glaze ingredients (melted butter, sifted icing sugar, pure vanilla extract, maple syrup extract, heavy cream) and blend until smooth.

Brush the glaze over the tops of the warm buns.
