  • basil(optional)
  • dash pepper
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 small carrot, cut fine
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth, soup base or bouillon cubes
  • 4 cup water

10-15 minutes

Bring water and broth to a boil. Add rice, carrot, pepper, and basil. Simmer covered for 10 to 15 minutes or until rice and carrot are cooked. Let it set before eating.
