David Kirsch Shares Healthy Super Bowl Recipes

David Kirsch, the trainer who is famous for keeping Heidi Klum in shape, has shared a couple recipes to ensure you don't veer off your diet this Super Bowl Sunday. 

No Fat Hummus

Ingredients: 

1 1/2 cups cooked or canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 tbs chopped parsley 
1 tbs minced garlic
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground cayenne
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice 

In a food processor, combine all the ingredients. Blend Well. Use immediately or refrigerate for 3 hours. Makes two servings, 227 calories each. Serve with celery, whole-grain crackers and/or cucumber. 

Sesame Chicken Fingers

Ingredients: 

1/4 tsp light soy sauce
1/4 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp water
1 tsp tumeric
1 4-oz skinless chicken breast, sliced into 4 strips
1 tbs toasted black and white sesame seeds

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mustard, water, and turmeric. Marinate the chicken with the mixture and let it sit for up to an hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat chicken with sesame seeds. Place the chicken on a nonstick pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 1 serving, 195 calories.
