Every states, region, or city has their own special sub sandwich. In my opinion, theykey to a great sandwich starts with a fresh roll. Without a sturdy base, your building blocks (i.e. the filling) will fall. These are some of my favorites.
Meatball Sub
Use ground turkey instead of ground beef for a lighter meatball.
Shrimp Po' Boys
This sub is also delicious with fried fish.
Maine Lobster Rolls
A little goes a long way, this sandwich allows you to enjoy the luxury of lobster without the expensive price tag.
Banh Mi
A flavorful Vietnamese sandwich that can be made with chicken, pork, or beef.
Philly Cheese Steak
This recipe uses only carmalized onions but feel free to add peppers and mushrooms.
