I bought a prime rib today Sunday and Im not cooking it until next sunday, will it go bad in the refrig or should I freeze it? never cooked one.

Just in case anyone is wondering where and how long should we store meat, If you freeze meat at temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit and lower, it should be okay for 4 to 6 months, but for refrigerators with temperatures of 40 degrees to zero degrees Fahrenheit, it's best if you use it within three to five days of purchase.
The low temperatures help slow down the growth of bacteria, but to maintain the quality and freshness of the meat, it's best if you use it immediately after buying it.
