I would saute some shallots until soft, add Port Wine with a bit of Pinot Noir, reduce it with fresh bluberries a pinch of salt and cracked papper. A nice sauce for smoked chicken. For a dessert sauce, I would make a blueberry puree, maybe adding some blackberries and or raspberries, lemon juice and sugar. Reduce on the stove slowly until desired consistancy. Strain if needed.
