I can not find ghee in any of my local stores and was wondering if I can use unsalted butter instead?

FYI, I saw large containers of ghee at my local Costco (Richmond, CA).

You can easily make your own ghee from regular unsalted butter. I just googled "how to make ghee," and got almost 800,000 results. :)

I believe you can. Ghee is clarified butter.
