The food service industry is a lot larger than just a few units and depending upon what you mean, can be scaled from a single restaurant to the entire supply chain through patron. Assuming you mean a restaurant, there is the front end and back end. The front end takes care of the patrons directly and the back end produces the product, and supports the efforts of the front end. These units may be further divided, depending on the type and size of the facility.
