It had a nutty flavor. The sprinklings were small,like bread crumbs(but not real fine)

thank you, but no. I found it by finally roaming through a health foods market the other day. It is toasted wheat germ. I remember putting it on salads, although it could be sprinkled on cereals and other things. best wishes and thank you.

Could it have been chopped roasted nuts of some kind? Maybe mixed with fresh breadcrumbs?

Thank you for trying! I don't remember it as a seasoning but more as a component of the salad when you sprinkled it on.
