Tuna Steak can be grilled, pan seared, or even baked. Some people prefer it rare or pink in the middle.
There are different grades and species of tuna. Some are more suitable to leave very rare or serve raw and others are better to cook a bit more.
It you have a better grade of tuna, coating it in sesame seeds and searing it, leaving the middle very rare, is an ideal way of cooking it.
