Glazed Carrots

Ingredients
2 1/2 pounds carrots
drained pineapple, optional
2 tablespoons cornstarch optional for thickening glaze Dissolved in 2 tbsp. cold Parsley flakes garnish
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup half
half or heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
Sm. can crushed

2. Combine remaining ingredients (except for cornstarch at this point) 1 1/2 cup yield.

These glazed carrots are great as a Thanksgiving side dish or as a way to persuade picky eaters to eat vegetables.
