Yield: 4 patties

[edit] Ingredients

1 ½

pounds ground turkey breast

1

Granny Smith apple, grated with peel on

¾

tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and crushed

1

small red onion, diced

½

tablespoon soy sauce

Kosher salt

fresh ground black pepper

Step 1

Place the ground turkey in a large bowl.

Step 2

Crush the peeled ginger through a garlic press

Step 3

Add the grated apple and diced onion.

Step 4

Add the soy sauce and a couple pinches of salt and fresh ground pepper.

Step 5

Mix well with your hands, then form into patties.

Step 6

Grill a few minutes on each side or until juices no longer run red.

Step 7

Patties should feel slightly firm, but not hard.

Since turkey easily dries out when grilled adding apple and onion helps seal in the juices, while adding a wonderful flavor.
