Pesto-Cream Sauce

Ingredients

2 cups fresh basil (leaves, stems and all)
2 tablespoons pine nuts, toasted
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil

Preparation

Put the first 4 ingredients into a food processor and pulse on the "chop" setting until finely chopped.

Then with the processor on "puree", start slowing drizzling the olive oil into the mixture until everything is fully incorporated.

To use this pesto as a sauce for pasta:

As the pasta comes out of the boiling water, heat 1/2 cup of heavy cream over medium heat in a separate saucepan until just warm. Add your pesto and whisk it into the cream. Pour this mixture over your pasta and toss to cover.
