Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon white corn syrup (Karo)
Juice and grated rind of ½ lemon

Preparation

Mix sugar, water and corn syrup. Bring to boil - boil rapidly, uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon and juice.

Make glaze in time to cool a bit before adding to cake.
