9" pie crust for bottom; strips for top |

teaspoon cinnamon |

teaspoon cloves |

teaspoon nutmeg |

teaspoon salt |

teaspoons cornstarch |

tablespoons butter |

teaspoon lemon zest |

Step 1 |
Spread softened butter over bottom of crust and sides of crust to prevent sogginess. Fill in with pears; sprinkling rest of mixture as you layer. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter. Bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. |
