Raita

Ingredients

1/2 cup Yogurt
teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup water

Preparation

Add water to yogurt. Mix well

Peel and grate cucumber, add it to yogurt .

Toast cumin until it changes color. Grind it.

Add cumin and salt to the yogurt.

The Raita is ready to serve.

About

Raita is a common Indian recipe. The coolness of the yogurt and cucumber offset the heat of spicy dishes nicely. Cucumber can be replaced with any other vegetables, like onion, just cut into small pieces.
