Golden Layer Cake
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups Softasilk cake flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. Betty Crocker Fudge frosting mix
Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour rectangular pan 13 x 9 inch or 2 round cake pans. Beat all ingredients except for frosting in large bowl on low speed scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds. Beat on high scraping the bowl occasionally, 3 minutes. Pour into pans. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. (Rectangular 40-45 minutes, layer 30-35 minutes).
